It’s the start of a new week, the first in a while where I have fuck all to do professionally aside from look for another project to jump onboard.

The sky is grey and hazy, and today’s 36-feels-like-30 is tolerable after the cold snap that just passed through. I’m sitting on the balcony enjoying a homemade red eye and listening to Ryan Adams’ “Oh My God, Whatever, Etc.” on repeat.

My plan is to drink coffee and write until Mike wakes up, when we’ll probably make breakfast and lounge around for a while. Then we’ll play some Fifa ‘12 for a bit, and when it gets good and rainy, I’ll try to write some music while he plays Call Of Duty or Gears Of War and yells profanities at the TV.

It feels weird to not be employed for the first time since the middle of June, and I know I’ll have to find work soon, but for today it will all be fine.
